Short-Term Running Goals: Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent. Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me. Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

| | I got a late start today so i was only able to fit in 4. I have to go to Senekahs program at the school so i was feeling a little rushed. | Comments(2) |
| | ran on the draper trail in the rain. My pants got soaked and so at the turn around point i took them off, dont worry, i had on my compression shorts under them. So needless to say i was alot less weighed down and the last 3 were much easier. Plus i think i was so wet at that point i didnt think about being wet anymore. Kept getting whiffs of the lilac bushes when the wind would blow a certain way, i LOVE that smell. And it was fun to see all of my fellow runners out there with me, probably training for something, or just having to have the feeling of a good run. GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! | Comments(4) |
| | woke up in the middle of the night sick, didnt run today. boo. | Comments(2) |
| | easy 3 today, stomach is still a little whoozy. luckily my legs switched to auto pilot at about 1.78 so that made things even easier. | Comments(3) |
| | i dont know how far i went today, i ran hills. run up and then walk down.BUT my ankle is really bugging me, i dont know when and where that happened but its hurting and im really mad about it. This cant be happening to me right now! what can i do to fix it??? | Comments(5) |
| | did an hour of yoga and ran around the block for 1 mile to test out my ankle. It still HURTS! Ive pin pointed where it is injured or hurt now that the swelling is down. Its on the inside of my left ankle bone. I dont know what else to do, I cant just not run. And i dont want to hurt it more either. I dont think its any kind of fracture, just a pulled or torn something. Im not sure. Could a doctor even be able to tell? In the mean time, im really frustrated. Icing it now and maybe ill try again tomorrow. Have a 5 K on saturday and i DONT want to walk it. | Comments(5) |
| | i ran with an ankle brace on and it helped for the first 1/2 to 3/4 mile and then it started to hurt again. i kept going and by the last 1/2 mile i was limping home. I think i might call the doctor today. | Comments(3) |

went on a 8 1/2 mile bike ride and my ankle felt really good, didnt even notice it. So im glad i got my cardio in another way. It was a fun change. Still its not as hard as running, so i still think running is the more noble sport. My hubby would disagree completely. Hes a big biker. But we will see when he actually runs more than 3 miles and then he can compare the two. | Comments(9) |

signs on the trail (4.1 Miles) 00:40:12 | | So this was supposed to be a 5K but the people in charge of telling us when to turn around were like 8 years old and they didnt tell anyone to turn around, so we kept going. I had my garmin on so i knew we had gone too far, but i just followed the croud. Anyway, it ended up being an extra mile. It was fun though. And the BEST news is, my ankle didnt bug me at all!! So it was worth all the time off. Im so happy! | Comments(5) |
| | i had a really exhausting day yesterday, mentally and physically. So it was all i could do to get out of bed today. Im glad i did though. Its bc this blog has become my conscience and i know i need to report something or i will feel guilty. | Comments(2) |
| | Tried a new route today from "map my run" It was fun, but a little confusing bc we kept getting lost. Next time we need to drive it first. But its always good to have new scenery. Anyway, we didnt turn on a road we were supposed to turn on and so thats why its short of 5 miles. But my ankle started to hurt so i just ended the run. Icing it and wrapping it. | Comments(1) |
| | hey just a quick loop today. felt good. | Comments(2) |

My garmin had a dead battery so i had to do a loop that i remember from the days before my friend garmin. I kind of felt naked without it, anyway, i ran alone today and without my g. so it turned out to be kind of a liberating run. No pressure and i was just able to enjoy the scenery and my own speed and my own thoughts. | Comments(1) |
| | went back to the draper trail today, it was alot of fun and not very busy at first, but by the end there was quite a few people. Did alot of snail ditching also. Beautiful morning, great way to wake up. | Comments(1) |

| | no run in today, unless you count the running around at my daughters field day @ school. Been at the park for 4 hrs. with 60 4th graders and now i need a nap to get rid of my awesome headache. Its all in the name of creating memories. | Comments(1) |
| | Went up Millcreek canyon to the pipeline trail with Gretchen, Erin and Becca, it was GORGEOUS! and alot of fun. I twisted my ankle at one point but so far its not bothering me, so i hope it is just healed enough that it wont flare up again. I think i may be in the clear. Beautiful run, alot of people both on foot and on bike though, but its all good. | Comments(1) |
