Short-Term Running Goals: Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent. Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me. Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

first mile felt great, then I got slower and more sluggish. Ive done it to myself yet again. I feel like im starting over again. This seems to be my ongoing theme. All of you crackheads doing 5 and 6 minute miles, well, someday maybe ill be as cracked out as you. |

| | went up to the pipeline trail, stopped at the river for awhile to collect some thoughts and turn off my music and listen to nature, then ran back to the car. Beautiful and peaceful up there. Noone was around, it was nice. |

Went to run for a man in my neighborhood who was diagnosed with LouGehrigs disease about 2 months ago. He has a really progressive diagnosis and is not supposed to live through the next year. He has a wife and 4 kids. 3 girls and a son. His son is one of my husbands scouts. {11 yrs. old} the same age as my oldest daughter. After the run, Kathy Aitken the channel 5 newscaster who is also in my neighborhood, was asked to do a story on the event, and the awards. She had everyone who was running for Steve raise their hand, there were about 30 of us. Then she had him come up and talk for a minute. Of course the waterworks began for all of us. Im so happy I went to do this. Im so grateful for the life that I have and I pray for all of those that are suffering in anyway with a terminal illness and for their families. Nothing puts life in perspective more than death. It was touching and im glad I was able to be a part of it.
As far as my running went, I didnt go into this with intentions of getting a good time, I didnt know if I was going to even run it or if I would end up walking with people I know and talking. Well I did run the first mile with Kathy and we talked and then I was mostly on my own for the rest of it, but I just enjoyed the scenery and my thoughts and just went for a relaxing run. |

| | went with Erin and brought her baby in the jogger stroller. So it was hot and neither of us have run with a jogger before. She held on to it 1.5 and then I did 1.5. That is a whole different ball game |

| | A blustery, windy run. I thought I was running into the wind on the way up but when I turned around, I was running into it again! So I think technically I should be able to count this as 3.2 because of the fight. Dont you think? lol |
