Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent.  Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me.  Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

I wasn't going to run today but I got new socks. So ya know. I went to the running store yesterday to purchase my socks and I asked them about my PF. Bc It's still the same. No better, no worse. But its there. He taught me some new stretches for it so I've been doing them. Well 1 mile into my run it hurt so bad I stopped and found myself limping to the curb to stretch it. I debated on going home but decided to keep going to see if it would loosen up. It did. Aside from that, this run felt better than any run has felt in months. My splits were in the 9:20 to 9:40 range and I had a lot of energy. Amazing what some caffeine and a later run will do for me. To be fair, I did stop my clock to stretch my foot a few times so really it wasn't that time, but whatever. I don't really care about that,  I'm just happy I felt good. Its been a long time.

5 slow miles. I've decided I'm a schizophrenic runner bc I never can decide where I want to go, how long I want to go and if I want to make it hard or easy. I was going to go easy and just go straight/flat/and down and call Scott to come get me when I was done wherever that may be. Then while I was running I decided I wanted to run down 9800 S. So I ran up 9800 S. so that I could run down it. That was hard. Then I thought maybe I'll just go straight down then call Scott. Then I turned and decided to just run home. BUT I do this all the time! I can't make up my mind. Its very frustrating. :)

Ran with Scott to do his course for the sprint tri he's doing this Saturday. We ran at a 9:44 avg. I know he will do it much faster without me there but he wanted to hang with me.  I tried to step it up for him so he didn't feel like he was walking. He was sweating so bad so I think it was harder on him then I thought it would be. I sweat, but dang! He looked like he just ran in the heat of the day!  Anyway, we are working on a bunch of crapola around the house today and then we have to go BB-Q with my parents later. sweet. Good Times

Ran up NC to the trail, then ran the trail to LaCaille. I always get a little nervous on that trail by myself. When I got to the top,  a man runner in an orange shirt came down and started to run down the trail. It made me feel a little better he was there so I waited for a minute and then followed him back down. I didn't want to be too creepy and follow right behind him. But he was just a runner going about his business so I thought he could protect me from the boogie man if I needed it. :)  nice temps and a pretty day.

Quick run around the hood. 9:31 avg. HOT out there. After watching my husband do the sprint tri this morning. I couldn't just sit here all day.

Scott's tri:  I watched every segment and It looked HARD. The swim is 1/4 mile. Well organized. Then the bike is a 9 miler. Definitely Scott's strong point. He seemed to be struggling with the swimming. Not the best form, but he's never been a swimmer so whatever. Then he got on the bike and raced off like lightening. I felt bad for all the people bc in the bike part you have to ride up 9800 S. twice! Its a long steep hill. Then on to the 5k which I think would have to be the hardest part of the whole thing to go run on tired legs. And they have to run up a street called Raintree which is another steep hill. They have to do that twice also. I have run sprints up that hill and it is a brutal one. So for a neighborhood sprint tri, I think its hard. When I watched the bikers struggle up that hill, I kept thinking about my friend riding Lotoja right now..Ouch. Anyway, his time was 1:11:11 which was 4 minutes faster than his last tri. so Awesome!

Pretty good run considering I barely slept. Ran up to the buffalo and then down A.C. then UP that dang hill on Highland. Felt good to sweat and push it.  Don't know if I will be able to run the next two days. Have to babysit tmrw. and Sat. is crazy busy. I will try to fit one in though. Good Times.

I think I'm fighting off some kind of sickness. My body hurts. And Ive been extra tired. For the first 2 miles I felt like someone was holding a wall in front of me and I was trying to push it down the street. My legs were cramping and sore. But that went away. I never felt totally great but I did feel better. Hopefully I just sweat out whatever it is. Never got to run yesterday bc I had to babysit again. I really hate missing Mondays. Oh well. Saw Stacie walking with her baby when I was almost home. Good times

4 @ 9:47 avg. which isn't too bad considering I still don't feel great. I guess I feel better than I thought I did. Who knew? Go running to see how you really feel. :){that is actually true. Sometimes I don't know how I feel in a day until I hit the road.} Good times like always.

I just have nothing to say. I'm sitting here wondering what I can say about this run and I have nothing. I ran. It was sunny. Then temps were cool. See? Not that interesting. Good times.

Ran to my parents. I guess that was a mistake bc then my mom talked me into going and getting a diet coke with her and her driving me home. {I'm so weak!} ha! Oh well. Good to talk to my mom I guess.

9:40 avg. Not too bad since I didn't feel like running at all and then I ran up a few hills. Didn't have much time bc I slept in and Scott is out of town until this afternoon. So I'm driving the ship at home. Going to LAX and then GNO woo! good times.

This was a really crappy run in the sense that I could not get out of my head. "this is hard, I want to be done, I'm hot, I need to lift weights and strengthen my legs, I'm tired, No wonder this is hard with these saddle bags I'm dragging around, Nice shadow of a big giant pear, can I run downhill anytime soon, I should have saved that one gu..." ya know..one of those. Glad I went the distance, but I wish I would have enjoyed it more. Oh well, there's always next time. Good Times.
