Short-Term Running Goals:

Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent.  Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me.  Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

Keep Running and  Never Give up!

Oh my gosh. I am so happy to be back that I think I might cry. This morning I walked out of the bathroom and tweaked my back somehow and I almost did cry. I was not going to let anything stop me today. So when I started out I would take a few steps and have to walk, this went on for a half a street but then I just told my back to "back off!" and I ran through the pain. It loosened up at the end of the street so I was able to just go. Felt magnificent, glorious, amazing, awesome, and every other positive adj. you can think of. Including bitchin. Never mind that it was slow. Never mind that my IT band yelled at me at the end. Never mind that I'm going to be sore from 4 measly miles. I needed it soo badly and am once again SOO grateful I have running in my life.

My back really is jacked up. But it actually becomes numb when I run. So its easier to run than walk. Gotta go tend my niece now. Tmrw. I either have to take my girls to the ortho. or go to jury duty. FTL! Cross your fingers that they won't need me and I will be able to go to the ortho. That sounds way cooler.

First mile was 9:48 and then it was around 10:11 to 10:15 the rest of the time. Except when I ran the hill up Falcon. Then it was slower. Slow run. Felt like I was a turtle. But felt good anyway. I'm off the hook for jury duty this week but then they said that since I didn't need to go in this week, I might get another summons for a different week this month. Which..really??? Its freaking Christmas. They should just let the DUIers and rapists sit in jail for the month and let the rest of us try and enjoy the holidays. ;) {kidding..except for the rapist part.}

Felt better today than I have this whole week. Don't want to jinx it or anything, but today felt back to normal.

Just easy 3 around the hood. Sped up at the end and it hurt. Pretty awesome.

Today was one of those runs that I love. It was slow but I felt good and I just got lost in my thoughts.  I actually like the gray skies, it seems to put me in a more methodical mood. Plus I like running in the winter scene. Feels like a photograph. Anyway, Good Times.

Felt pretty good. Ran the Falcon hill and then stayed around the hood. Only a few more hours without having children around me 24 hours a day for 2 weeks. Inhale, Exhale. "It's all part of the experience honey"

Started out a little shaky but ended well. It's fake sunny out. I don't like that bc then you can see the smog through the sun. When its cloudy, its just masked. Anyway. Its Saturday. Woopdifreakindoo.

That was pretty much an epic fail. I've had a bit of an upset tummy and it got the best of me out there. I maybe could have run through it and maybe it would have felt better, but I just wasn't in the mood to deal with it. It is what it is. Hope everyone is having a fun week before Christmas!! Woo Woo!!

Felt amazing. Beautiful out there. I think I've been on some Christmas adrenaline high for the last week. Lots to do etc. And today I woke up not feeling like myself. So I did a 3 mile prozac run and it was exactly what I needed. Now I can play nice the rest of the day. Merry Christmas! Hope you have lots of fun and eat, drink and be merry!!

I went running. It was 3.5 miles. There were streets and cars and stuff. It was cold. I have been eating like shizamo. And I can feel it. Holy crapola.

Wow. It's already Friday!! How does this happen? These last two weeks have been a sleeping, eating coma-blur. I cheated and had Scott drop me off at the Temp. gauge at the mouth of the canyon and I ran home. It was a nice downhill relaxing run. I wanted different scenery than the hood and wasn't in the mood for hills. Although heaven knows hills are exactly what this butt needs right now. With every step I could feel the jiggle of my thighs and the bouncy of my behind. It kept in perfect sync with my lady gaga and Brittney Spears songs. It was lovely. I dressed too warm. If you have not run yet and are planning to, only wear shorts and T-shirt. I was wishing the whole time that I had the guts to just take off my shirt and run in my sports bra. But I guess I can't have that 17 year old body again. Too bad the 17 year old body doesn't come with the confidence of 39 year old mind. {it made sense to me} Anyway, Good Times!!!
