My first 1/2 Aug. 9, 2008 2:16.12

2008- I ran a 10K and a couple of 5K's  I guess you could say I'm a newborn runner.

2009- Finished the Hobble Creek 1/2 and the Provo River 1/2  And have done 3 more 5k's

2010 Got my PR with the Salt Lake City 1/2 marathon!!

2010 Ran my first marathon!! TOU! Woo Woo!

2011 ran the Salt Lake 1/2 with my brother. Then a few 5k's

2012  Salmon Marathon
 

 

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent.  Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me.  Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

So I've been going to this weight class in the morning's for the past few weeks with Misti and it's been fun. It's hard as crap and I feel like an uncoordinated weakling but I know it is what I'm missing. I mean besides running. And any form of exercise at all..However for a long time I feel like I need to incorporate weights into my life and I don't' have the drive to do it myself. So I'm going to go to this class for awhile and see if it will jumpstart me a little bit. Today we didn't go bc we usually go Tues, Wed and Friday. I was so limited on time this morning but HAD to go run. I knew it would only be a mile but It was better than nothing.  I put on my zeppelin radio on pandora and Kashmir was on. Cranked it and ran around the block for a mile. It made me happy and sweaty. good times

Dos miles. I've been still doing that weight class three times a week and I had no idea how weak I was. I basically have zero muscle so this is good for me.  Run felt really good. Love the weather so much

Two around the hood

Three around the hood and down the hill on Highland and back up. Weight class on Tues. {legs} and Wed {arms} tomorrow weight class {core} I'm a ridiculous mess in that class btw. I am uncoordinated and weaksauce to the bone.
