Short-Term Running Goals: Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent. Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me. Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

| | Three around the windy hood. Cousins slept over last night. I'm not a fan of the sleepoever at all. In fact I'm not a fan of anything these days. I've become an ornery old hag that's either angry or annoyed. There are ten min intervals where I'm happy and those are nice.

| | Two miles {I think} walk with Stacie and Rebecca in STG. Stacie and I ran part way up the steep hill and then a little more with Rebecca. Felt good. We'll go again tmrw

| | I'm logging these miles even though they're only walking miles. We walked fast. {Stacie and I} around the condo and up and down the big hill. It burns the back of my thighs and my butt to walk up that hill. Feels good

| | Three miles treadmill. Then around the block on a walk with Ziggy. He doesn't know how to do a leash so he hasn't mastered dogging yet.

| | Today's run is called 'Snowdrifts keep falling on my head" The best way to deal with that is open your mouth and try to catch some. I was successful a few times. Three mile run and then a walk around the block with Ziggy. He still hasn't mastered dogging. He gets his crack eyes and spends more time trying to bite the leash like it's a magnificent toy and then trips over it and runs circles around it. Whatever. I have to laugh at him for being so brilliant. Someday he'll figure it out.
Good run. I ran slow and steady and then up and down the hill on Highland. Felt good.

| | Got a cold again yesterday and was up a lot last night not being able to breathe. I wasn't going to go but then Scott said "you should at least go run a half mile or a mile." So I ran a mile and a half. Then I took Ziggy on a walk. I'm glad I made some effort even though it was small.

| | I didn't know how I would feel bc I have felt like crap. Coughing non stop yesterday and I took NyQuil last night so I woke up with a hangover headache. Anyway, Scott was going to run from the mouth of the canyon down so I had him drop me off at the top of 9400 and I ran down the trail home. I took an excedrin this morning bc of the headache and I ended up feeling great on the run. I think it was the caffeine pill. So I'm pretty sure I've found a new drug for running. :) When I was done running I had a total coughing attack but haven't really coughed since. So yay. Hugs. Rock on.

| | Sick kid at home. Pressed for time so I tried to run faster than I normally do and ran the hill on 8600. Good little workout.
