My first 1/2 Aug. 9, 2008 2:16.12

2008- I ran a 10K and a couple of 5K's  I guess you could say I'm a newborn runner.

2009- Finished the Hobble Creek 1/2 and the Provo River 1/2  And have done 3 more 5k's

2010 Got my PR with the Salt Lake City 1/2 marathon!!

2010 Ran my first marathon!! TOU! Woo Woo!

2011 ran the Salt Lake 1/2 with my brother. Then a few 5k's

2012  Salmon Marathon
 

 

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent.  Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me.  Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

Ran with scott sort of. He ran ahead and then back and then ahead again. He's awesome for my self esteem. :) This is the first run I've gone on without having a diet coke prior. I have has one diet coke every day but it's only a can and I save it for around 3:00 in the afternoon. So I'm over the morning addiction and past the headaches. Which is nice. I actually felt better than I expected to so that was a happy surprise. :) Muy bueno

two mile run in the heat and then a 3 mile bike ride up the hill on 86th and around the hood and back again. I really like riding a bike. The wind in your hair and on your face keeps you a lot cooler than a run. Anyway, felt good to breathe.

7 or 8 mile bike ride. I'm not sure bc I didnt' have my garmin but based on the route, from what I remember It was about 8. Then I rode around the block {another mile} with Soyer. But that was just leisurely. I really like riding bc the wind on you feels good and I can feel different muscles in my legs being used that running doesn't use. Anyway, felt good. the hills kick my butt but it feels so good.
