Short-Term Running Goals:

Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent.  Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me.  Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

Keep Running and  Never Give up!

Quick run around the hood. 9:31 avg. HOT out there. After watching my husband do the sprint tri this morning. I couldn't just sit here all day.

Scott's tri:  I watched every segment and It looked HARD. The swim is 1/4 mile. Well organized. Then the bike is a 9 miler. Definitely Scott's strong point. He seemed to be struggling with the swimming. Not the best form, but he's never been a swimmer so whatever. Then he got on the bike and raced off like lightening. I felt bad for all the people bc in the bike part you have to ride up 9800 S. twice! Its a long steep hill. Then on to the 5k which I think would have to be the hardest part of the whole thing to go run on tired legs. And they have to run up a street called Raintree which is another steep hill. They have to do that twice also. I have run sprints up that hill and it is a brutal one. So for a neighborhood sprint tri, I think its hard. When I watched the bikers struggle up that hill, I kept thinking about my friend riding Lotoja right now..Ouch. Anyway, his time was 1:11:11 which was 4 minutes faster than his last tri. so Awesome!
