Short-Term Running Goals:

Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent.  Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me.  Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

Keep Running and  Never Give up!

went on a 8 1/2 mile bike ride and my ankle felt really good, didnt even notice it. So im glad i got my cardio in another way. It was a fun change. Still its not as hard as running, so i still think running is the more noble sport. My hubby would disagree completely. Hes a big biker. But we will see when he actually runs more than 3 miles and then he can compare the two.

Glad the ankle can handle the bike ride. At least you can get a workout. I've seen other bloggers on here use some sort of conversion for crosstraining, like 10 minutes of riding or elliptical = 1 mile of running. Something like that. 'cause you know, running IS harder than biking.

Or maybe the formula is different for cycling, I'm not sure.

I know that i didnt "really" put in 8.5 miles, compared to running miles. I actually got home and felt like i couldve gone for a lot longer. Unlike running when i see the homestretch and i cant wait to get there. But it did feel good to work out. Although, it did feel more like i ran 3 miles. oh well, i went to the running store and talked to them and they think i need to go to the doctor, so i told them i promise i will go, right after my 5 K

I did not get into Hobblecreek, I really wanted to do it. I'm going to do Provo half instead. Did you get in?

Good luck Lysa!

I'm sure you would have been notified if you didn't get in. If the race has a website, I'd check there.
