Short-Term Running Goals:

Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent.  Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me.  Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

Keep Running and  Never Give up!

Personal:

This was one of those runs where when you get done you feel like a badass. {excuse the term, there is no better one} I'm worried about my first leg in Ragnar, its only 3.2 miles but its straight uphill rated 'very hard' So I ran from my house up 9400 South to Wasatch. I have always avoided running UP 9400 bc its so steep but I did it! There was a construction worker and when I ran by him he said "you're making me feel really lazy" to which I replied "This is so freakin hard I'm going to die" and he laughed and cheered me on. It actually turned out to not be that bad except for one stretch of it. The rest wasn't too bad though.  Still, I felt cool for accomplishing it. Then I decided to run down Wasatch to the trail above NC, when I got to the bottom of the trail I tripped on a rock and scrapped my knee, elbow and hand. So I sat there for a second and got my bearings then took off again.  Running down NC with a bloody knee and a bloody elbow, I passed up a girl that was running down on the other side of the street. Now I'm home and I have dust on my clothes, blood on my knee/elbow and a smile on my face. :)

Sorry about the fall, but congrats on the smile for the great work! Which leg are you running? Eleven? That's my leg and I think it starts with a 3.2 uphill. Do you know your start time? We were at 12:30 but are trying for 10:00 to 10:30.

Kim, Ya I'm runner eleven. We start at 5:45am, so who knows when I actually will start?? 12:30 is late, I hope you can get the earlier time. Its going to be a fun experience. Ive never done it so I don't know what to expect, but I'm telling myself it will be fun!

We all need to wear FRB flags so we can spot each other. I think I'm runner 12. Maybe 9.
