My first 1/2 Aug. 9, 2008 2:16.12

2008- I ran a 10K and a couple of 5K's  I guess you could say I'm a newborn runner.

2009- Finished the Hobble Creek 1/2 and the Provo River 1/2  And have done 3 more 5k's

2010 Got my PR with the Salt Lake City 1/2 marathon!!

2010 Ran my first marathon!! TOU! Woo Woo!

2011 ran the Salt Lake 1/2 with my brother. Then a few 5k's

2012  Salmon Marathon
 

 

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent.  Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me.  Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

I figured out that I have plantar fasciitis in my right foot. I always notice that it's there but there are times it is worse than others. Usually on a run the pain goes away after a half mile or so, but sometimes It stays with me the whole time. {I wonder why} Today was one of those days. {that it stayed} I read to stretch it, ice it and stay off of it. hahahaha. That's funny. I mean the staying off of it part. Anyway, so that is that. Ran a bit slower today again. Still feeling the fluish feelings but better than yesterday. I was able to keep it under 10 today so that's good. Anyway, Par-te' on.

Good run! Sorry about the PF. Keep up the foot scrunches maybe that will help in the long term. I had the PF last year, it was a nuisance for 4 months or so. It made me proud to be an American.

PF is a bugger. sounds like you are doing all the right things for it. especially the par-te'. it cures everything.
