Short-Term Running Goals:

Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent.  Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me.  Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

9:29 avg. My last mile was 8:46. woo At mile 1, a german shepherd came chasing at me with a big smile on its face. Stacie would have peed her pants. I stopped and made friends with him and then he wanted to come with me. Three times I ran up the road telling him to go home and he would turn around for a minute then all the sudden he would be by me again. I finally thought I got him to go the other direction for good and got pretty far away when all the sudden, there he is again, smiling at me. So I turned around again, went and knocked on someones door to use the phone and call his owner. No one answered but I left a message and after a minute I heard a voice from a circle near by calling his name. He started to run home but stopped and looked back at me. I could see it in his eyes that he was really debating on going home or going running. Then he ran home. He was cute. Happy running

Happy run. Happy pace. Happy dog.

Is my happiness getting annoying? Maybe I should change my blog name now. I'm just not creative enough to come up with anything else.

"the german shepherd whisperer" sounds like a good blog title to me.

nice run today. you are very kind to go to all that effort to make sure the dog found its way home. i would have called 911 and climbed a tree.

The last time a german shepherd came running at me I was 10 and riding my bike and he bit me on the leg, through my jeans and made me bleed. I would have FREAKED if that had been me.

We are so different when it comes to dogs.

Great run! Yay for 8:46. Look at you!!!

allie, you make me laugh every day.

Stacie, you have good reason to be scared of doggies. But it still cracks me up.
