Short-Term Running Goals:

Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent.  Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me.  Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

Keep Running and  Never Give up!

Hard with the wind. At least I'm running right? Even if its not that much and not that far.  EMO.

That felt extra difficult today but then when I got home I saw that I was faster than I have been so that was a bonus. I have a million things to do today but I just put on the running shoes and forced my mind to not go there before I got out the door. Anyway, know what you should do now? Make out.

Sen dropped Scott and I off at the mouth of the canyon and we ran home down the LaCaille trail. Neither of us felt like fighting hills, both tired and not feeling very good. Anyway, even though it was mostly all downhill, I still felt weak. Avg was 10:04 which was okay for downhill but not my best. Scott ran behind me then with me then finished in front of me. Way in front of me. I think its physically hard for him to run a 10 min mile. Like his body can't go that slow. Which is funny bc everything else he does in life is in slow motion and everything else I do in life is in fast motion except run. EMO

Today wasn't about the miles. It was about leaving my house and all that is on my plate for 30 minutes and trying to re-group. It was a therapy session. Me, my music, the sun and the hills at Flat Iron Park. I needed it. I miss my dog for days like today. Just a buddy to go think about life with. Anyway..Everybody should go make out now.

So I guess I posted yesterdays run on Saturday, so I'll post today's on Friday. Ran with Scott from the mouth of the canyon, down 9400 S, LaCaille trail to New Castle, then when we got to the top of NC, Scott left me. Ran way ahead. I could see him until the end of NC and then he was gone. We did that run last week and he loved it and wanted to do it again. It's such a gradual downhill that it doesn't hurt your body but you are able to keep speed and breathe a good rythmn the whole time. It felt really good, I felt stronger this week than last Saturday when we did it. I can't help have thougths about how runs like that were so brainless for me not that long ago and now It's harder. I push the thoughts away though bc it is what it is. Acceptance..remember? I'm trying to accept myself and quit beating myself up for my slacking. Everydays a new day right?? AND TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!! READY!! SET!!! GO!!!!!! LET'S DO THIS!!! {that's MLM speak [multi-level marketing]..insert a pretty scenery picture in your mind with an inspirational quote to make it more inspiring for the other MLM'ers} Everybody go make out now!!..Hear the Jig in your mind when you say that..it will make it more fun.

Be where you're at because you're already there. And accept it. That was my mantra today bc It's either that or be mad. I'm choosing peace. Ran/walked down around Falcon a few times, up Waters Ln and then Up Granada.
There are about 8 older retired men that fly their remote control Airplanes at Falcon park every day. I love watching these guys. I wonder what their stories are and what brought them to this peaceful place in their lives where they get to spend their mornings flying airplanes with their buddies.
EMO.

Ran with Scott. I passed a runner going the opposite direction and he saw Scott way ahead of me, Idk how that runner knew I was with him but he said "Do you want me to go back and trip him for you?" I laughed and told him yes. Funny. Windy and warm. Now we're off to the first soccer game of the season. Here we go again! Make out
