Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent.  Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me.  Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

Well this isn't the week I was hoping for. Yesterday turned out to be not my own so I couldn't get the run in yesterday. Which just made me ornery all day long. Then I kept telling myself I would go on a long one today to make up for it, then remembered I have 9 million things to do today bc my son is getting baptized tomorrow {bc I'm a Mormon. which I obnoxiously declared on facebook the other day and I can't get over it} and there will be 900 people at my house that I have to feed. For some reason I was thinking all day yesterday that it was Wed. and I thought I had another day. It dawned on me last night that today is Friday and so I went straight to panic mode. Next week I hope to be better. Good times.

But I'm not complaining. Just whining a bit. :)

still a pretty good week mileage wise.

your mormonicity is both appealing and compelling. keep up the good work.:-)

5! I guess I better not come over if there's 900 people at your house. 901 would be too many. Hey I bet you'll have more patience today doing your 9 million things cause you ran! Good for you!

p.s. are you running a marathon and haven't told me:(

From Lysa on Fri, Feb 03, 2012 at 15:16:01 from 67.166.122.134

Stacie, you are always welcome. You know that. And you're right, I do have more patience today. I'm taking a little break before they get home in 15 min. I don't like short days.

Okay..so Thayne and JD are both running the Salmon marathon in September. They are trying to talk me into it. But really they don't care if I do it either way. But now I'm feeling all this pressure from myself to do it and redeem myself. But you know how I am when It comes to races. I'm a spaz. So I'm kind of already spazing and I haven't even committed or registered for it yet. However, If I'm going to do another one, I really like the looks of this one. So Its looking like a probably most likely. But I haven't said Yes I will commit outloud yet. To myself or to anyone else. So that is the deal. I'm just being scared.

P.S. edit: I'm might TRY and redeem myself. Not that I will. Bc it could be worse! Maybe I will come in at 6 hours. You never know. If I do it that is.

From JD on Fri, Feb 03, 2012 at 15:49:31 from 70.96.78.149

so, to get a 4:45 you need to average about 10:52 per mile. if you average 10:45 per mile you'll come in around 4:41. you ran 10 miles with me at an 8:51 average. put in the miles and you'll break 5 hrs. no problem.

From Lysa on Fri, Feb 03, 2012 at 21:26:38 from 67.166.122.134

aaahhhh..all the rules change on race day. But you're right. I should be able to do that without a problem. So what's my problem? Here's to hoping. Here's to doing. Here's to hoping.

From Thayne on Sat, Feb 04, 2012 at 23:10:14 from 63.248.23.78

What are you talking about? Of course we care if you do it! Its obvious you have the itch so you need to come run it, by the way mine and Wendy's goals are to both run it in under 10:00 minute miles. You can totally do it...remember you are after all a Mormon.

From Lysa on Sun, Feb 05, 2012 at 00:11:18 from 67.166.122.134

No that's not what I meant Thayne..OF COURSE you want me to run it with you guys! Bc I'm so RAD! Who wouldn't want to run with my Mormon radness?? I just meant that you will run it whether I do it or not. However as much as yours and Wendy's goal to come in under 10 m.m. is completely admirable, I just can't trust myself enough to pull that off. BUT you are right..I am a Mormon. And/So miracles do happen. GO TEAM!

i agree with JD -- you still had a good week of running! i also agree that you are a rad mormon.

i hope everything went well yesterday with the hosting of those 900 people. i'm sure you did a great job.
