Short-Term Running Goals:

Maybe run a few more marathons?? Stay healthy, motivated and consistent.  Races are fun, but unlike the hokey pokey, its not what its all about for me.  Its about health, sanity and feeling great about myself bc I can call myself a runner. :)

Keep Running and  Never Give up!

Personal:

Married, 4 kids, started running to lose mommy weight and have alone time. Now I run bc of EVERYTHING

strength, sanity, awareness, confidence, attitude, health, peace, life, and Because I CAN

I wasn't going to run today but I was feeling jittery and annoying myself so I went. I was only a 10.11 avg. today. A bit slower but it still felt good to get out and hopefully I won't be so restless now.

Good job Jitterbug.

Nice. Good pace too. I can't believe you and Stacie are already getting runs in so soon after the marathon. Looks like you're doing it right though.

She started it. :)

When do you usually start running after a marathon JD?

I told myself I would wait till Saturday but...

Wish I had a bike.

I wish you had a bike too.

I guess I take 2 or 3 days off. More if I feel like it. The body tells me what to do.

From allie on Thu, Sep 23, 2010 at 21:09:48 from 174.19.51.35

i agree with JD - taking time off after a marathon can vary from one day to a week to even more than that. it all depends on what your body is telling you.

i think both you and stacie are doing a great job with the recovery period, and you both seem to be recovering quickly, which is a good sign :)

From Lysa on Fri, Sep 24, 2010 at 11:54:17 from 174.52.25.64

Do I need to state the obvious here?? Stacie, you ran a much harder faster race then me. Its only natural that I would feel better before you! Don't worry about what I'm doing and rest your legs! You kicked your own please do not swear and ran a great race, I kicked my own please do not swear and ran a long relaxing, slow race. You will come back next week and kick my please do not swear again, don't worry. Sorry for all the usage of the word "please do not swear"
